Candidate for Michigan State Univ. Board of Trustees

Mike Balow is running for the MSU board to provide transparent, honest, hard-working leadership to a board that sorely needs it. He plans to immediately move to eliminate some of the “black clouds” hanging over MSU, especially the lack of justice for the survivors of the on-campus sexual assault from gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. To date, MSU has never done an investigation into “who knew what and when” that allowed that tragedy to happen over many years. We owe it to our young people to show the truth, and ensure the campus is safe.

Mike Balow plans to use his vote to stand up for families and students who feel that the board only cares about taking in as much money as possible – not focusing on the core education and employability of our students. Mike also wants to honor MSU’s core mission as a land grant school, which includes being best in class in agricultural learning and the dissemination of knowledge to support our whole state, not just the big cities.
