Carl Meyers

Candidate for University of Michigan Board Regents

Carl Meyers is a 1979 graduate of the U of M Dearborn Business School of Management with over 40 years of experience in finance, asset management, and strategic investment planning. He has over 25 years of board room experience serving on public entity pension boards and credit union boards. He is running to fight the high cost of a Michigan college education.

“It’s no secret that many Michigan students and families are priced out or have been financially burdened with significant student debt just to attend college. In many cases, the degree received has a very low return on investment relative to job earnings prospects. This is wrong,” Carl Meyers contends.

“Student debt in our country is a national tragedy. I will propose a freeze in tuition to put U of M on a path to affordability.”
