Candidate for Michigan Supreme Court
Andrew Fink is running to restore the Supreme Court’s commitment to justice for all and interpretation of the law as it is written. As the son of a former Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputy and the grandson of a Washtenaw County judge, Andrew has known from a very early age the value of public service and the rule of law. After growing up in Ypsilanti, Andrew Fink attended Hillsdale College, where he graduated with honors. Upon graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, he commissioned into active duty service in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate. After leaving the Marines, Andrew moved back to Washtenaw County to join his family’s law firm, Fink and Fink. He eventually moved back to Hillsdale with Lauren, his wife of 15 years, and their five children, opening up a satellite office for the family firm there.
Andrew currently serves as the State Representative for Michigan’s 35th House District, which includes Hillsdale County, Branch County, and the City of Hudson. He is the Republican Vice Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and has persistently fought for our
system of separated powers and the freedoms it protects.
Andrew has served as a commissioner-at-large for the State Bar of Michigan, was appointed to the Michigan Commission on Uniform State Laws, and has appeared in cases in front of the Michigan Supreme Court and dozens of trial and appeals courts across the state.
